Baguio Night Market

Browse slowly. Decide quickly.

The market is dense and temporary. A short checklist helps you enjoy the hunt without losing track of money, companions or the vendor who owns an item.

Start with one pass

Walk part of the line before buying. Clothing and accessories repeat, but condition and price vary. Note a stall landmark if you plan to return; tents can look similar from the opposite direction.

Inspect before paying

  • Check seams, zippers, buttons and soles.
  • Look for stains, odor, damage and missing pairs.
  • Confirm size without relying only on labels.
  • Ask whether exchange is possible; do not assume returns.

Bargain with respect

Ask the price first, make a reasonable counteroffer, and accept “no” without pressure. Multiple-item discounts may be possible, but the lowest price is not an entitlement.

Cash and valuables

Carry small notes in a separate, secure pocket. Count change before leaving, but do not display a full wallet. Mobile payments may be available at some stalls, not all.

Cold-weather finds

Baguio’s climate makes jackets and layers popular. Wash secondhand clothing before use and check material care labels.
